Respect, Gratitude, Reverence

The Last Alarm Foundation's purpose is to provide deceased Firefighters with transportation to their final resting place...their "Last Alarm".

The Last Alarm Foundation of North Carolina (LAFNC) was created for the purpose of building and maintaining a “Last Alarm Apparatus” to transport departed firefighters to their final places of rest - their “Last Alarm.”

To observe this fire service time honored tradition, LAFNC will convert, restore, and sustain an antique fire truck into a funeral coach to transport deceased firefighters to their final resting place. The truck is intended to be available for funerals of emergency responders killed in the line of duty; or that are retired and living in North Carolina at the time of their passing. This vehicle shall serve as a unique opportunity to honor firefighters that have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our community.

The truck will also be used to educate the public by promoting various fire & life safety programs, parades, and events throughout our community.

This Fire Engine / Funeral Coach is dedicated to All Firefighters, Active or Retired residing in the State of North Carolina.
