The Plan
As anything that is 80 years old, the truck is in need of some tender loving care for it to continue to serve. It need s few modifications, and new tires. Some touch up paint and a great cleaning and possibly a ceramic coating to make it really shine! Then, the hose bed will be equipped to carry and display the caskets of our fallen firefighters.
While the primary mission of the vehicle will be transporting our departed Brothers and Sisters to their final places of rest in the dignified manner in which they deserve, this truck will have many roles to play: including Fire Safety Education, Parades, Community Events, and Fund Raisers. Support from the community has already begun, however, additional funding is still needed to complete the restoration. With support from interested Brothers and Sisters, this project will become a reality that firefighters throughout our community can look to proudly.
